1 student experience is available, but the source survey did not ask for stars. The first Tellyrate rating will set the score.
Experience: It was a decent experience, no loads of work, approximately 1-2 patients assigned to each intern every week (mostly 1 only).
Interns have to see the patient before the morning round, take history and do a physical examination.
The intern will have to present the case in details for the first time, and just briefly after (updates on the case).
The intern will have to write all the notes, admission, progress, and discharge notes; for the assigned patient.
Advantages: Post-admission rounds every other day at 8:00 AM.
Morning rounds at 9:30 AM.
Closing rounds at 2:00 PM, sometimes 2:30 PM, and they only take 15-20 minutes.
There’s time to study from 11-2.
Residents were very helpful and respectful. Consultants are very informative.
Tips: Make sure you let the consultant know about your interest and if you want a recommendation letter from day 1.
Questions will mostly be directed at you in that sense.
Make sure you ask about the proper way to write the notes, the residents will send you examples.
