Experience: Very hectic and not suitable for studying. A large share of routine clinical work may fall to interns because many shifts are staffed by service doctors rather than program residents. Four paediatric ER rotations are usually lighter than adult ER.
Advantages: Good knowledge and medical experience.
Disadvantages: The workload can be heavy and includes many routine service tasks.
